We are the Manta Rays!
The Fairbrae Manta Ray Swim Team provides an opportunity for swimmers
through the age of 18 to develop their swimming skills, sportsmanship
and fellowship. With the Manta Rays you will find a supportive team
environment, low-key competition and positive attitudes.
The swim season runs from late April (when group practice starts)
through late July. A practice meet kicks off league competition in early
June followed by four or five meets during the season. The season culminates with
a championship meet and an awards banquet the same evening. Training
is also provided for parents to teach time keeping, scoring, judging,
and other tasks associated with running a swim meet.
Manta Ray families also enjoy a number of social events throughout
the season. Events include a team potluck, a team overnight, and a water park
field trip. "Super Friday" socials are hosted by swim team families throughout
the season and are a nice way to relax and and get to know each other while the
kid's workout.
